A Hole Tech Specs - May 2025
Our setup is pretty typical of what you'd see in a 200-300 cap room in the early-mid 2000's. We have an analog setup that can accommodate up to 22 stage inputs. Our mains are a stereo pair of custom-built, three-way cabinets. Though slightly modified, these served as the main PA in The Maintenance Shop from the early 90's up through 2017, if you're familiar with that space.
We currently have one stage monitor, but can source a second for your show upon request. The stage here is small, and you're right next to the PA. 1-2 wedges is workable for most shows. If you have an IEM rig that allows you to mix your own ears, you're welcome to bring it.
The FOH footprint is virtually non-existent, and our system is somewhat-proprietary. It's not exactly an inviting setup for people who aren't comfortable working with 14 channels of analog in the dark and with no board tape, while also frequently being encompassed by the pit without losing your cool or getting snippy at others because you're in the way of the pit. For this reason, we generally do not accommodate guest engineers.
We have a small collection of analog outboard. Nothing crazy fancy like you see in the studio, but no silver-face Behringer junk. Just a couple decent comps and a usable verb:

Though not strictly tech-related, I feel it's worth mentioning here that we have an easy, no-stair load-in. Additionally, the basement has a custom ventilation system built for the express purpose of pumping as much fresh oxygen as possible in from outside. Ventilation is often overlooked in venues.
