Do you record every show?
We don't promise anything, but generally, yeah, to some extent. Sometimes it's just a room mic. Sometimes it's a With the Band Media production. How much or little we do depends on what we feel up to that particular night, and how busy we are with real-life obligations. Editing and mixing takes free time, which we don't seem to have much of these days. We pride ourselves in giving an overwhelming percentage of the money that comes through the door to the bands, which means that nobody at the A Hole profits off shows. As such we can't always prioritize the recordings as we would a job (as much as we love doing them).
How long do you plan to do this? Will you be turning it over to someone else?
We're decidedly in our last year. We expect to have our last show sometime in Spring 2026. The reason for this is that we are generally just ready to be done and move on to the next thing. We aren't planning to turn this operation over to anyone.
Are you 21+?
No, but if you're planning to bring a drink, do know that we have volunteers checking ID at door at every show. This is a place for people to have fun; not to be a nuisance. If we think you've had too much, we will make you leave.
Can I bring a camera?
Yeah that's fine, we don't care. Don't use flash during the bands' sets, and don't expect special treatment or extra space just because you're a photographer. Pit comes first.
IT'S REALLY LOUD IN HERE!
Yep. We have sanitarially-packaged earplugs available at the door and at the stair landing.
